Liz McHugh Ph.D.



Dr. Liz McHugh is a clinical and school psychologist with the New Jersey Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative (PPC). She is also an Assistant Professor at Hackensack School of Medicine and trains future psychologists in assessment, collaboration, and supporting children in their schools. Dr. McHugh provides thorough neurodevelopmental assessments to children and adolescents as part of the collaborative care model at the PPC.  Dr. McHugh is also part of the 0-5 Center of Excellence at the PPC which aims to support the youngest children and their families. The aim of the PPC is to empower our pediatric care providers to manage patients with mental health needs through collaboration. As a school psychologist by training, Dr. McHugh is passionate about supporting children’s social-emotional needs in school so that they can thrive as learners. Her approach emphasizes connecting families with evidence-based treatments through their primary care providers and school-based resources.
