Alysia Colón began her role as Policy Analyst at the New Jersey Consortium for Immigrant Children in 2023. In her position, she strives to uplift the voices of immigrant youth through community outreach, youth programming, and coalition-building. Before NJCIC, Colón earned her degree in Public Service from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2021, she was awarded the David C. Frederick Public Service Internship. In 2022, Colón conducted research in Colombia on youth movement building and student organizing. Having been a student activist from a young age, her work has always been motivated by a vision of justice, equity, and youth self-determination. She is currently a fellow of the New Jersey Leadership Collective Class of 2026 and looking forward to every opportunity to movement-build towards a more just future.
