Jill Marie Kuppel is the School Climate State Coordinator with the New Jersey Department of Education serving as a resource to parents, students, and educators in the areas of school climate and the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. Prior joining the NJDOE, Mrs. Kuppel served as a school counselor for 22 years in a K-8 school district where she had already been an established special education teacher. In her years as a school counselor, Mrs. Kuppel was in the vanguard in establishing a data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program that was nationally recognized. During her tenure as a school counselor, Mrs. Kuppel served as the anti-bullying specialist and chairperson of the School Safety/School Climate Team which enables her to bring a vast experience of implementing harassment, intimidation, and bullying policies and procedures to the role of the School Climate State Coordinator.
