Jeanette Torruella is a Licensed Associate Counselor and has over two decades of expertise as a seasoned New York City school counselor. She played a pivotal role as a member of the city-wide crisis team and spearheaded arts-and-counseling workshops for both counselors and high school students. As a teaching artist, Jeanette has empowered incarcerated teens through writing workshops. She is the founder of the Falcon Network, a transformative coaching service for women, and the creative force behind the Wise Women’s Pride Podcast. She will defend her dissertation this spring for the Ph.D. in Counseling and Supervision by Kean University. Jeannette’s research focuses on cultivating cultural humility and empathy in counselors through creativity. Her passion lies in exploring creative expressive interventions to instill resilience and hope within the realm of school counseling.
