Phyllis Alongi
Phyllis Alongi, MS, NCC, LPC, ACS, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has numerous years of counseling experience with children, adolescents and adults in both Partial Care and Intensive outpatient settings. She is a former educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. Phyllis obtained her master’s degree from Monmouth University in Professional Counseling in 2009 and the Advanced Clinical Supervision Certification in 2014. Phyllis serves as a clinical consultant for several organizations that focus specifically on youth suicide prevention. Phyllis is a certified Lifelines Trainer and provides school-based crisis team protocol and procedure consultation. Phyllis conducts training to schools, agencies and community organizations nationally on a variety of topics. Phyllis is in private practice in Brielle, NJ and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Phyllis is frequently interviewed on a variety of current mental health topics such as, youth suicide prevention, bullying, and social media. Phyllis has been quoted in numerous publications including, The New York Times, People Magazine, and Psychotherapy Networker.
