Christina Huang is a first-generation college student and passionate activist at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill pursuing a Political Science degree. Christina has dedicated much of her career to advocating for
social justice issues and promoting the rights of underrepresented communities.
Huang’s involvement with Make Us Visible NJ and her passion for bringing together Asian Americans in the
US has led her to found Students for Asian American Studies at UNC Chapel Hill. As the founder and
president of this organization, Huang is leading efforts to establish an Asian American Studies program at
UNC. This program would provide students with an opportunity to learn about the rich history and culture of
Asian Americans and would help to promote greater understanding and awareness of the issues facing this
community
