Stephanie Suriani
Stephanie Suriani is a licensed clinical social worker with almost 20 years of experience in the child service field, in both child welfare and child behavioral health care. Stephanie is an MSW graduate of NYU School of Social Work. She then commenced her career as foster care and adoption, social worker, with an Administration for Children’s Services-contract agency in New York City and then became a supervisor of preventive services and post-adoption services. Stephanie then “crossed the river” to work within the newly-developed NJ Children’s System of Care (CSOC), part of the Department of Children and Families, serving as a supervisor of care managers providing wraparound services to families with children managing mental health, behavioral and substance use needs. Currently, Stephanie is a Program Manager at Tri-County CMO, where she is part of the management team and provides staff training, management of agency deliverables, goals and performance targets, supervision of care management staff, and facilitation of various goal-directed workgroups. Stephanie became a certified Nurtured Heart Approach® trainer in March 2018. Stephanie has also been a field liaison for Rutgers University School of Social Work for the past five years as well as a field instructor for social work students from Rutgers, Ramapo, and Columbia Universities for the past 15 years. She is also an elected member of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood, NJ Board of Education.
